THE JOLLY ODDITIES / ABOUT
Two people. An awful lot of ideas.
We’re Meltem and Birayalp. Welcome to our little corner of the unusual.
Meltem is the Oddity one. Birayalp is the Jolly one. Together, we make The Jolly Oddities.
The Jolly Oddities is a Surrey-based creative studio. We started with digital design and 3D printing, then kept learning, experimenting and adding new ways to make unusual things.
We create colourful retail pieces and bespoke objects for hospitality venues, businesses and people with a particular idea in mind.
“This might sound
a bit weird, but…”
Some projects begin with proper drawings. Others begin with those seven words. Those are often our favourites.
Alongside our work in 3D design and fabrication, we’ve undertaken prop-making and prop-painting training.
That training has helped us grow beyond 3D printing alone, bringing prop construction, mould making, casting, mixed-material fabrication, assembly and finishing techniques into the way we approach unusual projects.
We’ll always be clear about our role, whether we’re developing an original design, adapting a concept or producing a licensed piece.

CREATIVE FABRICATION / SURREY & ACROSS THE UK
From first sketch
to finished oddity.
Digital design and 3D printing are part of a broader making process: prototyping, prop construction, mould making, assembly and finishing.
We use Bambu Lab printers for highly detailed work and an Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga for large objects, props and sculptures.
Design
CAD, 3D modelling and practical project development from your drawings, references or rough idea.
Prototype
Fast iteration, fit testing and proof-of-concept work before committing to the final build.
Make
Multiple FDM printers support one-offs, detailed components, decorative objects and small production runs.
Prop & fabrication
Mixed-material construction, assembly and prop-making techniques informed by professional training.
Mould
Silicone mould making, mould-master development and casting workflows where the project calls for them.
Finish
Surface preparation, sanding, painting, finishing and weathering to bring the object together.
Scale up
Larger objects can be divided into engineered sections, made separately, assembled and finished as a complete piece.
